Questions before you book

What is a slow facial?

The cleansing, warm towels, slow massage and mask of a good facial, given more time. You start with ten minutes of talking, you rest at the end for as long as you like, and nobody looks at a clock.

Should I choose 75 minutes or 90?

Choose 75 for a full facial at an easy pace. Choose 90 if you'd like a longer massage and a longer rest. If you're not sure, book 75 and tell us at the end whether you'd have liked more time.

Do I need a consultation first?

No. A first slow facial begins with ten minutes of talking before anything touches your skin. If you'd rather talk first and decide later, you can book the 20-minute consultation on its own.

Is the studio easy to get into?

Yes. The entrance is level from the sidewalk, with no stairs, and the treatment bed raises and lowers. Tell us what would help when you book and we'll have it ready.

What should I wear?

Whatever is comfortable. We cover your clothes with a towel and tuck a soft band round your hair.

How should I prepare, and what about afterward?

To prepare, come as you are, and skip a strong scrub the day before. Afterward, drink some water, go gently with new products for a day and wear sunscreen outdoors. Your skin may look pink for an hour or so.

Who should ask a doctor first?

If you are pregnant, take a prescription medicine for your skin or have a skin condition a doctor is managing, ask your doctor before adding LED light or microcurrent.

How often should I come?

Some people come every month, some twice a year. We'll tell you what we'd suggest at the end of a visit, and the choice is always yours.

How does pricing work?

The studio's prices show on the booking page when you choose a visit. They follow the service, how long it takes and what you add. Nothing is added on the day without asking you.

Where do I park?

Street parking is on St. Paul Street. The studio's entrance is level from the sidewalk, and Suite 1 is on the ground floor.
